In recent years, particularly in France, Iceland has become a popular destination. Starting with examples from printed media  such as Géo and National Geographic France, this article proposes to reflect on the images that the island wants to convey to lure more tourists, as well as on those that feature in the French travel magazines. We try to capture the deep change that, in spite of the crisis and beyond the possibility of cheap tourism, has triggered this fascination with Iceland.
